Jill is a sculptor and puppetmaker, which she sees as articulated sculptures. All the puppets are of rod design with movable limbs and a head turn, and the components made of durable resin and wood, with enamel paint decoration and mixed textiles and embroidery.
Much of her work is inspired by her love of social history, and celebrates human diversity, theatricality and our need for storytelling.
